I think because your Csection was something not related to your own body that you would be good to go for a Vbac, do you know what type of incision was done? have you talked with your Dr to confirm its an option...as some Dr are still not comfortable with Vbacs... i think ive heard a couple times that the success rate is 50/50 so even going into it you have a significantly higher chance of csection but like i said your first reason for the c section wasnt anything your own body did so i would hope you would have a slightly higher chance of natural birth from that... There is always a chance of uterine rupture but depending on the type of incision I think its 1% or less? its not very high at all.... i know if i wanted a induction to kick start a Vbac i cant have cervadil but im pretty sure IV meds are approved for inductions... Oh and my mom was Csection for all 3 as well but im sure she was never givien an option for vbac "back in the day" but i did ask her if me or my sister ever dropped(came down/lightening/becomes engaged) or showed signs of dropping as my brother never dropped and he was the first c section and my daughter never dropped and im sure neither will this baby... im identical to my mom... im a mini her! But my sister has had AWESOME deliveries... the kind everyone wishes for!! so she doesnt take after my mom for sure!
I haven't even told my husband that I want to try! I just know the recovery time is shorter and If I'm going to have a 5yr old and a new born I'm going to need to be as active as I can ASAP. And since we have decided that this is our last one I want to experience actual child birth at least once. My son was 8'4 when he was born so size wouldn't have been an issue
I had to have a c-section first as well bc of the ambilical cord being around her neck! I was planning on a vbac with #2 but she was too big for my doc to allow me to go for it! My cousin just had a successful vbac tho! She has little babies tho! My three have all been over 9 lbs!! It's just safer for me to have c-sections for fear of uterine rupture... Have you spoke to your doc abt vbac??
