I was in the same boat and have now come to learn that this is absolutely normal. You never know when its going to hit. I am now 37 weeks prego and was severely sick with vomiting and nausea for the first 4 months or so...then it tapered off for about 3 to 4 wks..and then came back but not as strong. Still to this day...i will go maybe a week with nothing and then vomit 3 days in a row...you never know...some women just have it the whole time unfortunately!
Mine was supposed to taper at 20 weeks. But I've given up hope it will ever really go away. There are some foods and things that are more likely to trigger it as well. I got a list from my midwife on foods that seem to settle well on the stomach and won't make you feel so sick. It's possible that something like that set it off.
Yeah my Ob gave me Zofran when I first started to get really sick in the beginning. Thankfully my insurance covered it. I'm just confused at this point..I thought that when it goes away its stays away for the rest of the pregnancy. Given I did have it longer than usual...I was still vomiting at 4 months...but I really did think that I was done with it...
I have it. There's a good chance you could get it the entire pregnancy. Have you talked to your doctor about any type of medicine they could proscribe? Mine gave me Zofran (Which I could never get filled because of the cost) and phenergan and that seems to work really with stopping it.
