Yes nothing really u can do with the whole sciatica issue...The pain going down ur leg is all connected to that nerve...try wearing more supportive shoes, put a pillow between ur legs to ease the pressure off when ur sleeping and try a heating pad

I get it all the time!  But it just goes up my back and down my leg.  I don't have a heating pad but I let warm water hit my back in the shower for about 5_10 minutes.  Or have my boyfriend rub it either before I go to bed or before I wake up too ease some of the pain and keep it away longer.

Actually Morgan, there's a lot you can do about sciatic pain during pregnancy. You can dietary of all, go to see a chiropractor because he or she will be able to adjust your pelvis to accommodate your growing baby and help you be more comfortable throughout your pregnancy. You can also see an acupuncturist.  Sciatica can originate in the low back or the buttock and your acupuncturist would be able to determine where the source of your discomfort is coming from and ease the muscle tension and also accommodate the structural changes that are taking place during your pregnancy. I know how painful and uncomfortable sciatica can be, so don't listen to the people who tell you there nothing you can do or that you'll just have to deal with it because you don't have to be miserable, there are things you can do!

Uh even the doc will tell her it isn't much to cure for sciatica it's a nerve that her baby is sitting on!u have to learn to cope with it and therapy is just another option to relieve some pain not all!...dnt go thinking ull be cured in a day I still have sciatica and comfortable shoes etc like I said before helps because it's within ur posture as well..it's easy to say just go to therapy for it when the littlest thing can help

The baby does not sit on the sciatic nerve. That is anatomically incorrect. The reason it's so easy for me to say she should see someone like an acupuncturist or chiropractor is because I have done that and it works. I don't doubt that wearing orthotics and being conscious of your posture helps, but have you tried to "go to therapy" yourself? Don't knock it until you've tried it.

Also I'm really not here to argue about this, it is silly to sit here and try to convince you, Morgan, who is most correct. I just thought I would throw some advice your way so you know there are options because I know first hand how much sciatica can hurt!! Best of luck to you in the rest of your pregnancy.
