3rd Membrane Sweep Done

Ahh, I'm 41+1 and just had my 3rd and final Membrane Sweep, so fingers crossed for this weekend.      I'm 3cm dilated, and she could feel my waters bulging as if ready to go.      Although I'm having regular contractions, they are only mildly uncomfortable as opposed to very painful, the Midwife said normally (over here in Scotland) you're admitted to hospital at 3-4cm as you "should" be having painful contractions at this point......   She thinks the reason why mine aren't (except for the constant backache) is cause baby is still a bit "back to back" - although it has turned round slightly since my last check 3 days ago, so I've to keep going on all 4s for ten mins and have someone rub my back to encourage baby to turn right round.    All I need is a couple of strong contractions to get me admitted......so fingers crossed for this weekend as I don't fancy waiting until Tuesday to be induced x

Good luck to you! Sounds like baby is very comfy in your belly! I hope your baby shifts also!

Lol well if its any consolation, I had a labour scare at 29weeks and they told me they'd be happy if I made 35 weeks as I wouldn't see my due date - I'm now 8 days over that and babes is quite comfortable lol.   At least yours is classed as "full term" so it will be okay if s/he decides to come now.   Mine has been great til this last week it deceded to turn round so its facing out my front instead of facing my back like its supposed to so I have exercises to do every hour to try turn it back round before labour xx

Awh I feel for you the longest I went was 41 weeks with my son and he weighed 8lbs 5 oz. Good luck.

38 weeks and 4 days so I shouldn't be too impatient lol. It's just at my last appointment Tuesday my doctor said by this weekend and had me all anxious and nervous but now I'm thinking its not gonna be so easy

Im at a 3 too but unfortunately I don't think bus is gonna be here for little while!

Thank you girls :)   I'm hoping so.....she also recommended having sex (again) so might have to give that a try, I so desperately want to go into labour naturally and not have to wait to be induced, so shall see if that works.   Just need to try and encourage this little darling to turn round a bit more for me :/        @My2princesses - how're you coming along? xx
