What to do when Metformin doesn't stop my cycle?

I'm TTC and was put on 2000mg of Metformin, all it did was make me very sick. I even missed work because of the side effects. I was told to stop the medication and see what happened. I'm still bleeding, the only thing that has stopped me from having a cycle all month long was BC. Is anyone else having the same problem? I have an appt. to see the Dr. and just curious to what he is going to tell me.

Thanks ,

Robin

I was told I have PCOS.  I'm not ovulating like I should. I have my cycle all the time.  Studies have shown that Metformin helps women with PCOS by regulating their cycle. I'm currently off the medication because 1. my cycle never stopped and 2. all the crazy side effects. I was throwing up at least 3x a week. I'm going to the Dr. Friday and they said they are going to do some sort of saline procedure to look for follicles.

What have you been placed on metformin for? Its not meant to stop your cycle. When taking it i found if i ate anything very fatty it made me sick. Also take it with a meal
