that's wonderful news, congrats.
We had the amnio results today and it was all good....no downsyndrome or CMV detected...its a huge relief....but we still have our ultra sound scheduled for next week on the SGA....guess we are not completely out of the woods yet....
keeping fingers crossed...
it will have nothing to do with how well your wife has take care of herself prior to or during pregnancy. Sometimes things just go differently with some babies. I think the things you have listed can be signs of down syndrome...but there could also be nothing wrong with the baby at all. only the amnio will give you a yes or no answer. you may find it helpful to message martikadragoon, another member on here who has a down syndrome child and will be able to give far more information than i have.
Thanks for response,
The doctor did not mention the exact root cause for these and termed it as a variance across different babies.
Myself and wife were very particular on her food in-take to ensure proper nutriton to the baby, and we still couldn't believe what we heard.
With those findings, the amnio really is the next step and will give a lot of information. Did the doctor mention what they thought might be causing these issues? Something comes to mind and an amnio will tell you if this is the case or not.
