After DS5 was born I began walking...an hour a day monday through friday plus occasionally taking the kids to a park or something on the weekend. I started this in late january/early february and by June I had lost 40 lbs and felt GREAT. Unfortunately once we moved I got lazy and gained it all back...but it worked.  I combined that with watching what I ate.  I started keeping a food log in the beginning...writing down everything I ate and apporximately how many calories, carbs, fat, sugars, protien, etc it had.  I began to realize just how much I was eating and how fattening most of what I ate was.  I learned to balance my diet with some healthier items but still allowed myself to have the occasional "bad" food.

I also did stretches before and after walking.  I never used DVD's or anything else other than a double jogging stroller becuase I had a 14 mos old and a newborn.

I got a "Dancing with the Stars: Dance away the pounds" for $12 at wal-mart and I've been doing it with my 2-year-old....she freaking LOVES it, and it's been helping with both my flexibility and toning. I have only been doing it for a week and my core already feels stronger. idk about losing weight but it absolutely helps with toning

If you don't want to spend too much money then hook up with a personal trainer at your local rec center that should only set you back about $40. Have them show you things you can do from home without equipment. You might even be able to youtube a few for free.

I also think the wii fit is a good place to start. It gets you moving and you can do it in the privacy of your living room. I also used p90x, but don't suggest you purchase it unless you are serious about working out from home every day. The work outs take about an hour. Beachbody is the company that sells p90x and they have lots of other programs on their website that you could try. I've used a few and I know several people who have as well so I know it's a reputable company.

Good luck with your weight loss and ttc!

A wii...

The average games like Tennis and the like Dance on broadway game and Wii fit help SO much... Trust me. It tones and on the Wii Fit you can set targets like you wanna lose this much in like 3 weeks. And if you puut in the time and effort you will do it. And ts also a fun way of doing it and you and your partner can play, Like play eachother with a game of tennis or baseball. And take it in turns on the hulahoop game on Wii fit see who can get the most.
So you're more having fun... than thinking oh I gotta go on the Wii to lose weight :) Its better motivation as well :)... there is also Yoga things to do on the Wii and things!! :)
