Breast engorged already...is something wrong?

Has anyone previously breast feed any of their kids and had to deal with breast engorgement?  (for those that's not sure what it means, it's when the breast feel up with milk and they become hard like rocks until you can pump or the baby can nurse)  I'm only 5wks today and I'm having extreme breast pain like I've never felt before with any of my other pregnancies.  I've gotten to the point where I'm having to sleep in a sports bra.  This is truly unusual for me b/c I'm only pushing a 36A cup ( so huge right? :)) but now I'm already in a 34B so I've almost went up a whole cup size in only a matter of 5 weeks.  Is this a sign that something could be wrong.  From my previous births I started to swell in the breast area right b4 I went into labor, my doctor said it's a sign the dilation was coming.  Could this mean my cervix is about to open and I could possibly miscarry?  I'm going nuts here....pls help.

A friend of mine went from a 34C to a 34DDD (can't remember if that is the actual size but its one size bigger than a double D.) all in a time limit of about 3 months so its fully possible.

I agree 100% with mamaofonetrying42.  I'm 5 weeks too and I'm already falling out of my 34D's.  I'm sorry it's so painful but you are doing what you should; just make sure to keep wearing a good supported bra.  Good luck to you.

I have never heard of your bb being a sign of labor. Your bb get bigger at the end because they a starting to get ready for the milk to come in, but thats it. I would think that you have nothing to worry about. It just a sign of pregnancy. But if you are very worried about it go and see your doc, see if you can change your appointment. Good luck to you on the next 9 month :o)
