When does fetal movement decrease?

I am a ftm and tomorrow I will be 32 weeks. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow but am super ultra paranoid about my baby's movement. My baby still gives 10 kicks an hour when I time them, but I have noticed it is taking longer. It used to take less than 15 minutes, and now it will take closer to a half hour. My baby is most active in the morning hours. However, yesterday & today have been more quiet (still moving....I had 20 movements in 52 min this morning). Yesterday when I laid down to rest, the baby was more active...kicking and wiggling much more than the morning. I'm sorry to be paranoid, but...is it getting to that time that the movements will start to decrease until the end? I watched my friend lose her baby at the very end and it has me on super high alert so I'm sorry if this seems silly, just scary as a ftm. Is this normal or should I call my ob?

Thanks!

I'm so sorry for your friend's loss! Of course you're going to be paranoid! You're a good mommy! My daughter's movements never really "decreased" but they CHANGED. Like, not so many kicks but more shifts in the womb as there was less and less room. It's perfectly normal for babies to have "lazy" days but if you ever feel the need to get it checked out for your peace of mind, please go ahead and do so! If you go in to the doctor or hospital because you haven't felt your baby since that morning, and it turns out to be fine, and people get annoyed with your false alarms, then they're not very good at their jobs. Especially after your friend's loss, being safe rather than sorry will make you feel a lot more better than trying to talk yourself out of worrying, because it's not gonna happen lol I want to say around 34 weeks or so, the movements started changing. There were a lot less definite movements like kicks but turning and stretching became the new norm, which can feel like less.
