Contractions???

Help please! Can you have real contractions without being dialated any?
At my appt. last week, my dr. said I wasn't dialated at all. Yesterday I went for a walk, (something I haven't done in months), & after started feeling pressure & pain. Today I still feel the same & also, I have literally gone to the bathroom every 20-40mins. Earlier today I experienced extreme pain(to whereas I almost started crying) in my lower stomach & area that only lasted for maybe 20seconds. Haven't had that extreme pain since, just the regular pressure/pain I've been feeling-to whereas it's hard to catch my breath.
Could that have been a real contraction or are thses just Braxton-Hicks? The pressure/pain/uncomfortableness comes about every 10-30mins. 37weeks Thursday btw.

Sorry for the novel-I would appreciate any/all advice.

Awe, now you guys are scating me. As uncomfortable as I've been, I really don't want to go into labor until I'm due (Dec 2nd) at the earliest.

I had real contractions for 5 days and did not dilate at all so I would say it is possible

Thanks, I was wondering. I have an appt tomorrow so I didn't want to go in unless absolutely necessary. These Braxton-Hicks aren't that close, so I guess I'm fine for now. I'm just going to keep monitoring them

Braxton hicks are not suppose to hurt only feel uncomfortable. Your tummy gets hard a few seconds and yes hard to breath....but if u start feeling pain every 3-5 mins i would go to the hospital

What does Braxton-Hicks feel like? Because I only had the 1 painful experience, I thought it was nothing. I know Braxton-Hicks are supoosed to be infrequent & slightly uncomfortable, but is it like tightenting & hard to breathe for a second? My tummy keeps feeling really tight & it's hard for me to breathe for a few seconds, then it goes away. I have another appointment tomorrow but adking because it's consistent - happening every 10-40mins...

With my first son I had contractions that the doctor said should have me dilated to a 10 but it never happened I ended up after 36 hours of contractions dilating me to a 2 had a c section. So yes you can have contractions real contractions without dilation. And if you have more than 5 an hour you are supposed to go to L&D and be monitored.

You can dialate at anytime. So even if you weren't dialated last time you were checked for all you know you could be dialated now.
