If you are pregnant, you would only be 5 weeks. If you're putting on a lot of weight, I'd be far more concerned about something else. At 5 weeks you shouldn't gain ANY weight. Maybe a pound or two if that. You need to see a doctor.

A yellow discharge can be a sign of an infection and you should see your doctor to get checked. It looks like you are trying to get pregnant, though I want to ask if you have everything prepared for having a baby? Have a stable income/good job? Are you planning to go to college? Do you have a good place to live? and so on.. I'm not trying to put you down at all, but just seeing where you are in life. You are only 19 and have a whole life ahead of you, so I just want to make sure you really think this all through. Good luck.

fyi...no am not tryna get pregnant, i am jus accepting a possibily that i maybe pregnant. I do not believe in abortions and i an willing to but my life on hold and man up to my responsibility and do wat i have to do. dont u have a child urself, and yes at the time it may have gotten  into the way of ur schooling ans watever but look at urself now and am sure u r doing fine for urself..And lastly i am engaged so if i am am not worried as my child will be born in a good environment with both parents who r doing very gud for themselfs even though we r young. So thanks for ur concern, but **** happens and instead of crying and playing the blame game just  accept and man up.

Being engaged doesn't actually mean a child will be born into a good environment. Even being married doesn't mean a child will. Children are a lot of stress and put a lot of strain onto a relationship. I've watched very stable couples get torn apart because they decided to have kids and couldn't handle it. Just keep an open mind about everything and what could happen.

At your appointment it would also be good to look into birth control since you're not trying to get pregnant. Make sure you talk about all the options and find out one that would work best in your particular situation. You will also have to check how long it takes to become effective. BC pills can take up to a month before they offer full protection, whereas the shot is effective in 24 hours.

I don't have a child and it's good to take responsibility for your actions, but it's also very important to protect yourself against pregnancy when you are young and don't have everything prepared for having a family. Being engaged is not the same as being married and the guy can still easily walk away from this situation. A friend of mine got pregnant with her fiance and he walked out on her when she was 6 months pregnant after being together for 4 years. Things like that happen more often than we want them to, but it's sadly part of life. We just never know what is going to happen, which is why so many people push for the use of birth control and condoms until you are ready for a family.

Make sure to see your doctor about the possible infection and you can also talk about birth control options. There are many different options(birth control pill, depo shot, nuva ring, implant, the patch, and so on), so make sure to discuss all of these options and find out what will work best for you specifically. If you aren't good at remembering to take a pill, try using the patch instead or the shot. Just make sure you fully understand how that specific birth control works and you use it correctly. Hope the appointment goes well.

hello peep's. well my appointment was gud for me but we are still not sure wats going on as the text came back negative and the doc said its still possible as i am more overly late on my menstral. He ask if i had used any home pregnancy test and i told him yes that i had used like 6 of them and they all were neg. He said that if my period doesn't come by next tuesday then i should come back and take another test, ohh the test i took was now a blood test an i cant yet becuz i jus moved to a new state and am not insured yet. so hopeful everything will work in my favor, so i can stop stressing my head. I am sooooo frustrated right now. cuz this has never happen to me before. I dont want to be pregnant, yet i feel like i am. So for now am just not gonna think about it cuz its just really tiring

Did you tell him about the yellowish discharge?  Did he test you for anything else besides pregnancy?  That is more my concern in reading your posts than you being pregnant.  Not getting your period (after always getting a normal period in the past) is not a good thing for someone your age and also leads me to believe you could have an infection (like a UTI) or something like an STD.  I am not trying to scare you, just making sure you are telling your doctor all the information you told us as well as making sure you know to put pressure on the doctor to figure out what is wrong with you right now.  If you want to have children in the future (when you are married, financially stable, and have health insurance) then you can't take any chances with your reproductive health.
