does anyone understand HCG levels

Im TTC
Had positive ovulation test on 3 Aug, due on period 17th Aug
Did a 25miu preg test at 10DPO and neg.

I read somewhere that HCG levels at 10DPO should be at 25miu.

Does this mean i am def not pregnant?

I will test again on 17th as im hoping i just tested too early but it has put doubt in my mind.

What were your HCG levels at 10DPO if anyone knows theirs?

Also i know it says they double every 48-72hrs, but once implanted does it double to 10miu the next day or do the same 48-72hr rule apply.

Im trying to understand it all but im a bit confused.

I have quite a lot of symptoms:
Darker boobs, sore nipples, cramping etc so i was quite confident i had conceived, but not im worried i havent if my hcg levels arnt at 25miu at 10DPO

Websites are so frustrating, so much conflicting information. its hard to know whats right and what isnt.

You're still testing early, so don't give up yet. Wait until your period is due and then retest. If it still shows a negative, wait a week and retest one more time. Or you can see a doctor and have a beta test done.

I tested 10dpo and neg tesed again at 11dpo and postive, but very faint, tested again 13dpo darker positve line and just for fun i tested at 14dpo with a clearblue digital and it said pregnant 1-2 weeks.
Try testing again in a few days. Good luck x

So if i didnt ovulate on the 3rd, that means my period isnt due on the 17th?
i just assumed it was the 3rd as the next day the ovulation stick was negitive.

Your comments have given me a bit of hope that i just tested too early.

All the different information confuses me thata all.

HCG is not consistent and is different for every woman. At five weeks you could have a level of 30 or a level of 150. HCG levels begin to rise when the embryo implants into the uterine lining and begins releasing HCG. The embryo will release it differently in each woman.

Having a negative test 10dpo doesn't mean you're not pregnant.

I had a really really faint positive at 12 dpo that I almost didn't even see. It all depends when the baby implanted, as HCG doubles every 24-36 hours. So you could be pregnant and you didnt give yourself enough time. Look on the box; the accuracy is only around 60% at 10 dpo.

Different women have different rising levels. I personally didn't show a positive on a test till I was already 7 weeks pregnant. (I had previously tested at 4 weeks with a negative) everything on the Internet is guidelines, and not set in stone. You're more likely to show an accurate answer when your period is due or late. Most tests will say that the earlier you test the less accurate it is. Wait a few days and retest with first morning urine.

If you had a positive OPK on 3 Aug, that means that you ovulated on the 4th or 5th.  A positive OPK means you'll ovulate 24-36 hours later, so you're not really 10 dpo yet.  Regardless, sometimes it takes the levels longer to rise.
Best wishes!

but i thought if a baby tried to implant after 10DPO to much time has past and it wont implant properly.
See what i mean by all the different info. Is so confusing.

No. You could have a level of 5 at 5 weeks and still be considered pregnant. That is why they say to test 2 weeks past ovulation because it could take longer for the baby to implant and your levels to rise.
