Low Progesterone

I am about 5 weeks pregnant.  My blood tests came back and they indicated low progesterone.  Also the hGC levels were rising, but not doubling.  The doctors have scheduled me for an ultra sound in 6 days.  Should I wait this long?  Also, is there anything that can be done about the progesterone immediatly?  Would that help the pregnancy?

i was 5 weeks, 4 days along on 3-6-08. I had my 1st transvag. ultrasound. The man that did it was not allowed to tell me anything that he saw etc. (i hated this) I had no idea what i was staring at. he told me if i didnt hear from my doctor what was a good thing. if something was abnormal they would contact me asap. now...my point here: i swear i didnt see anything! All i saw was a big black hoe. I heard him say the "gestional sac something measures this much." he was telling his assisntant.  (he said a number, which i wish i could remember what the hell it was.) i swear i didnt see ANYTHING.in the middle. Maybe their is no pregnancy in the middle of the uterus? or was it just too little to see??
The good thing my Hcg levels have gone up.. not sure if this is normal or not?

Duphaston - a man-made progesterone may help, but you should check with your doctor first.
