Preterm Labor

I am 36 weeks pregnant with a footling breech bubby. Over the period of yesterday afternoon my braxton hicks turned regular and were getting closer and closer together. At 7pm I called the maternity ward as they were just under 10 minutes apart and they said to come straight up. They haven't started dialating me but what happens if I keep contracting? Will they bring my caesarean section forward? Im terrified my waters are going to break and the risk of cord prolapse - with both my other labors I spontaneously had my waters break first thing in the morning when I got up out of bed.
I don't want that risk being put on my child.

has anyone every had a similar situation or experience?
P.s can't wait to get home and sleep in my own bed!!

I will let you know how it goes - they have me on the monitor again now (still getting niggles apparently)
