I'm to the point that I'm not going to worry about it anymore....I'm just gonna leave it in Gods hands and like you said it very well could be blessing in disguise....

I can tell you what I know based on my husbands experience. You know that we live in Missouri, so I know how up in arms you must be about the laws. FMLA applies to my hubby based on his company, but a few months ago a situation came up and they threatened to fire him for X reason. The manager flat out told him that "maybe we cant first you for X reason, but you have no right to work in Missouri, so we can find any other reason to fire you."  I am not trying to scare you, I know that you already know this.

What I am trying to say is that Missouri law does absolutly nothing to protect the employee, nothing, pregnant or not, as you well know. I know that at this point you may not agree, but I have to say that if they fire you it may be a blessing in disguise. You have had such a run around with these people, I dont know how much of it can be worth it. I know that you need a job, especially post-baby, but do you really want to work for someone that would first you just because you are pregnant, Im sorry but that would make your boss a horrible person.  I am sure that you could find another job after the babies, I know that it seems hopeless now, but I am sure you could. You have good training and experience, you are a valuable employee and dont think any less of yourself!!  I hope that whatever happens gives you peace, and I am sorry that things are so stressful in what shoul be an exciting time.

Im in a bit of a pickle at work right now. Theyre terminating my contract due to it being temporary but have advetised 3 new posts. One of which i went for last week and was "unsucessful"

Im **** hot at my job and feel its discrimination simply because im pregnant so am going to the union.

In the UK we seem to have alot more legal grounds in employment.

You should be able to, especially since they don't have a GOOD CAUSE to fire you.  If they do, you can probably get EEOC or something like that involved and they may end up having to pay you compensation.

I've been pretty nervous myself.  My boss is working on interviewing temps to start around the middle of June and work through until I come back mid september.  I plan to work until I go into labor so I will be training this person for the first  month and half or so.  But some of these resumes coming through sound like these people are wanting permanent full time jobs....well they're gonna have to fight me for it.   I do have to say that it makes me feel good in a way that my boss is being so picky about whoever fills in for me.  It's nice to know that I can't be replaced with just the average schmuck.  It's still a little scary to think about though...it's like I wonder to myself "well what if this person is better than me and they wanna keep them instead?"  part of me knows that's just paranoia talking but the other part hasn't ccaught on yet.

I do have FMLA but I'm worried if I go over my 12 weeks they will fire me even though they assure me if I work with them and keep them updated they will work with me

If your company is large enough to have to abide by FMLA laws and you have been there at least a year, I don't think they can do that unless they drum up some "other" reason just to be able to get rid of you.
