It's pretty disgusting I pee myself everytime I sneeze cough throw up ugh it's horrible I have to wear pads all the time I'm do scared to go out in public plus I caught a really bad cold and I can't take any medicine I'm so miserable and embarrassed oh the joys of pregnancy
o.k im going to say it once yes all of that is gross but also you need to think about when you have the baby all that itching you have been doing tern into strech marks so a good word out for all other moms rub dont scratch.
Wow! These are so funny! I didn't post before because I wasn't having any symptoms with my princess but the more that I think about it the more I can remember was from my boys pregnancies! I think that the after delivery was definitely the worst ever! With my second son I had to drive almost 2 hours to the hospital and my water had already broken! And it wasn't a slow leak either! So I had white leather in my car and I put 4 towels and had the biggest pad on that I could find to try to stop the leak but of course that didn't work at all! By the time I got to the hospital and climbed through all of the construction I was massively irritated and decided to try a sweater around my waist just to keep it from looking like I peed my pants! (LOL) I got up to Triage and the lady nurse asked me what was up and I told her my water had broken and she said are you sure???? OMG! So I lifted up my sweater and said I dunno what do you think? Her face turned so red she couldn't help but laugh! She got out one of the little strips and of course it turned purple and the sat me down in a chair with more towels and I had to wait about 15 minutes until they had a room ready and I just felt like I was continually peeing on myself. Now that I look back I am so thankful that my water broke but geeze I can do without all of the questions this time!
In what way? I was anxious, like all first-time mommys....and when I had to have surgery at 34wks yes I was terrified...but honestly by the time I got close to labor there no was no fear just anticipation and eagerness. I had a moment's anxiety when the contractions started to get really bad but it went away really fast and I enjoyed the whole labor/delivery process immensely.
Are you having anxiety during your pregnancy? is there anything specific that's freaking you out?
and LOL@trying_x_3.....welcome to the club LOL
Well this just happened last week...I threw up so hard that I peed on myself....and not just a little either lol!!! DH thought it was funny, I didn't at that time lol!!!!!!!!
were you scared at all in your pregnancy?
Yeah, it didn't, in the morning there was nothing there and I'm sitting there trying to figure out if I had dreamt it. Lol we'll just have to wait and see I guess. I just hope they both work. Lol
lol Jilly I had my left breast leak before my daughter was born and the right one never did...but I think that after she was born, my right one was the big producer, but I don't remember 100%. I actually didn't realize what it was until I couldn't clean the spot off of my favorite maternity shirt...apparently colostrum can stain, which I didn't know at the time. Big bummer for me....
it doesn't necessarily stain, btw, but it can LOL
That is absolutely hilarious, but I guess if she doesn't fit into the diapers anymore what ya gonna do with them? Right? Lol tonight I woke up in the middle of the night when my husband got up to plow snow and there was a wet spot on the bed, my left nipple leaked! It was so weird, has anyone ever had only one breast work right? Cuz my left one seems like its gotten bigger and obviously has stuff in it, but I don't think my right one does. Is that normal? Cuz that would be really weird, to have one breast all swollen with milk and the other one all sad and empty lol.
oh yeah that's one little lovely I forgot to mention..hemorrhoids... they are SO gross. this is totally TMI (but at this point what the heck) but my biggest problem with them wasn't the itching or discomfort, it's that I would wipe and wipe and still not be clean...it's like they hide stuff from you. YUCK!
and for the after-birth bleeding...if you're lucky like me, the hospital will give you these big old pads that resemble catamaran runners. if they offer you underwear in the hospital TAKE IT because you will ruin whatever you wear for a few weeks after you come home from the hospital...so buy a bunch of new underwear for after you stop bleeding and just plan on ruining everything you wear other than that.
I'm so relieved that the cough pees and the sneezy peezies have eased off since my upper respiratory infection tapered off....I was getting tired of having to holler from the bathroom "honey can you grab me another of Kahlan's size 1 diapers? i need a fresh one" because I always managed to forget to grab one. there's something demoralizing about having to ask your husband to get you a diaper.
18 months later, and if I sneeze, cough, laugh or throw up I still pee all over myself. My little one really destroyed my bladder lol
Well I know what you mean with the gas coming both ways. But the throwing up is ridiculous, I wish someone would of told me not to eat apple jacks. I almost chocked while throwing those up! My gas smells horrible and the belching taste the worst. So far I am only 8 weeks in and I have only got a small baby bump so I am going to try to get my DH to help me when I cant get to them. And I hate the headaches. You would figure that I would know by know to carry tyanol. I am so not looking forward to the after birth. I think it will be gross! I know about the sneezing pees too. They are so annoying. I am going to have to go get me some panty liners. Thanks for starting this thread it was really helpful and nice to be able to share.
OMG!!! That is hilarious! (the gas part, not the puking part)
Still in my first trimester so Im dealing with the morning sickness. I live in a house with 3 boys and only 1 bathroom...do the math! 1 morning i was really nauseous and ran to the bathroom only to find it was occupied by my boyfriend, and once i start gagging i dont stop till something comes up, so i had to run to my bedroom, look for a plastic bag while im holding puke in my hand and then finally i puke ina plastic bag, only to find out afterward that it had a hole in the bottom. Conveniently my boyfrind finishes up in the bathroom just after i have finished puking and he walks into the bedroom as im mopping up the mess off the floor! he just sat back and laughed! Served him right tho....that night he was resting his head on my butt while i was sleeping and i guess i let a MAJOR one go right on his head! KARMA BABY!
the worst was after I gave birth... from all the strenuous pushing, I got hemorrhoids!!! Luckily they have stuff to clear them up, which isn't too fun either, mind you!!! Ugh, that was the worst thing that happened to me!
lol im also scarred for life!! For me, the gas is ridiculus and I dont care, I let it RIP!! & I only puked maybe four times and one time, which my Fiance's mother warned me about pooping and puking...i was constipated and puked so hard a lil came out the other end, it was disgusting, but hey, atleast i wasnt constipated anymore ;-D Oh, I get the hiccups ALOT, the heartburn was horrible in the beginning...The nausea still wont go away with certain foods. & I cant stand the sweating! Ive also gotten the bloody nose. But seriously.......Thank god for this post...... Atleast we all know that we're in this together...or not the only ones to experience this. omg...too funny
thank you! this thread has scarred me for life lol! I didn't know you bled so much after giving birth, nobody ever told me :'( And I HATE to wear pads cause when I sleep it makes me feel like I'm going to wake up and have blood all over the covers! Are there any special pads for those times, or should I just get some depends lol
Oh my lord, this is all so funny. Any time I'm having a bad day I can just come and read all of this and my day gets so much funnier. Its crazy, first we worry about pooing and then we worry about not pooing. Lol who knew poo would be such a focal point. I've started having bloody noses a little, like just when I blow my nose.
Gas is also the worst. I was slightly anemic during my pregnancy and for some reason the iron pills made my farts smell horrific. One time I was sleeping and I must have farted in my sleep, but the smell was so bad, it woke my fiance and he had to turn over and face the other way. LOL...that to me cracks me up though.
it's not so bad...you'll be so busy and wrapped up in everything, all of this happens kind of in the back of your mind as you go through the day-to-day....and delivery isn't bad. even if you go without meds, it's over before you know it and you've got your little bundle :D
Thanks for all the information ladies- but boy am I scared of delivery and the aftermath. I will just keep reminding myself it is all worth is.
Yeah I agree smj....I didn't like the lactation consultant one bit, LOL. I also didn't poop after delivery...but for me it was 6 days!!! I was miserable, but I was so terrified to poop because of the tearing...
They asked me in the hospital if I had pooped (they're not supposed to release you until you do) and I said I pooped before I went into labor, and she marked that as counting (which it totally doesn't) so I suffered at home for 6 days before I finally bought a laxative and literally forced myself to. It didn't hurt like I thought I would but I was crying and shaking going into the bathroom LOL
WOW! Boy am I glad I just had stitches that came out after I had my c-section. That had to $UCK!!! The only thing they pulled out of me was the catheter, and that wasn't that bad, just a little painful when they used a syringe to get the rest of the urine out of my bladder before they removed it.
I actually just remembered all the gas I had AFTER I had my c-section, I didn't poop for like three days, but I had BAD gas.
Modesty definitely went out the window with my pregnancy experience. I'd never been so exposed until my hospital stay, from the moment I got there and they re-shaved down there to the day I bled so much during DS's weight check. I'd only had a couple pap smears done before being pregnant. Now I couldn't care less if I had to get naked in front of a male or female doctor.
It wasn't gross but I was a little weirded out by the lady that came in to help me with breast feeding...bad enough that I as laid out on a table for everyone to see everything from the waist down, but this lady grabbing my boob and sticking it in DS's mouth was kinda weird.
I had a C section with my little guy...they had put in a special drain after the delivery and then had to pull it out...it was like a 2 foot long thing snaked around inside of my body. Then a couple weeks later the place they removed the drain from got infected...it was the grossest thing I have ever experienced. It was draining so much puss and blood I had to wear a pad to soak it all up. On top of all that I was still experiencing the after delivery period...I felt like I had pads covering my whole lower body.
