am I still pregnant

Hey, I found out I was pregnant on the third of Jan. Of this year .... Cuz I was spoting and thought I was going to get my period but ten days later just very light spoting  .....so I took a at home pregnancy test came up positive .... Then three to four days later I started cramping so bad and bleeding a little more ....the pain was soooo bad I had to go to the ER ...well they gave me a blood test stating I came up positive but it was at 15-20 range for the hormone .... At that point i started bleeding really bad and clothing... They did a inside ultrasound and didn't see anything but my uterus was thickening so they were confused .... The doctor said looks like u had a miscarriage..... Well they told me  I need to get my blood work done in three days if the hormone levels go to zero then its a miscarriage if it goes up ur still pregnant...I have no insurance so I waited and decided to take a home pregnancy test a week later .....it will still see if the hormones are in my system RIGHT?  well I have been taking the home tests every week for five weeks and they're still coming up positive .... My question is ...if I didnt have a high reading of the hormone and apparently I had a miscarriage.... Why after five weeks is it still coming up positive with every week I take a test it comes up positive and darker???? I'm going for blood work Thursday just confused

It's possible you didn't miscarry and it's also possible you did and still have left over tissue it takes time for your body to reach a zero for your hcg count only way to tell is by going and getting checked out

I am online friends with a girl on here who had the same thing happen, she thought for sure she'd lost the baby. lots of bleeding, cramping and clots, after almost a month and a bit she went in for the bloodwork and the HcG levels were like through the roof, she was hoping for a zero. They sent her to have an u/s done and there the baby was ! perfect and 12-13wks along.
not trying to get your hopes up, but sometimes these things just happen.
I am 8wks today and at about 5wks I had a gush of red blood just once, then the next day it turned to dark brown and it's been happening ever since, but just brown. u/s shows heartbeat, levels are going up... no cause for the bleeding :/
Last sept however, I lost my son at 14.5 wks and didn't even find out until they didn't find his heartbeat at 16wks at my dr appt. I had no cramping, no bleeding, nothing to show the baby had died. so bleeding/cramping isn't always a cause for concern.
I wish you luck and keep us posted!

I miscaried and had the hormone in my body for a long time after. I tested myself 6 weeks after and it was still faint, but there's definitely no baby. Its been 6 minths since, and I'm 10 weeks with my third.
Here's hoping yoir little is a fighter and you're still pregnant! I'd def go see a professional. They can monitor just how high your levels are.

They probably didn't see any thing because you were too early. Just get the blood work done to mAke sure.

Oh, I see you are going to the doctor on Thursday.  That is good.  Not sure.  You'd think the test after 5 weeks would begin to turn to negatives if you weren't pregnant anymore.  But you never know.  So, let us know what the doctor says, okay??

It is hard to say.  I would find a clinic to visit for the HCG levels.  Planned Parenthood can possibly help you.  But really, you need professional guidance at this time from a doctor.  good luck
