anatomy scan
What all happens when they do the anatomy scan besides finding out the sex and measuring of the baby
Okay thank you I can't wait for them to call so I can schedule it it's supposed to be this week hopefully i can do it tomorrow
They check the heart to make sure it has 4 chambers, check the amount of amniotic fluid, they chick the placement of the placenta, the umbilical cord, babies limbs, organs, head. I'm sure the tech will tell you what they are looking at while doing it. At least my tech did:)
They check the organs and take measurements of the baby. They will look over each of the kidneys, lungs, measure the brain, etc. Just look at the anatomy of the baby, like the name suggests. They may or may not give you a weight estimate. You can get the feeling of needing to puke and its normal. Let the technician know so you can roll to your side so you do not get sick.
