I'm 34 weeks and have worked nights the entire time I've been pregnant and plan on working until I deliver. I don't drink anything with caffeine, so coffee is out for me. The thing that really helped me stay energized throughout the night was bringing snacks and eating throughout the night on my breaks.  Not to the point of getting full,  just something to munch on. I also try very hard to sleep 8 hours during the day, but I understand how difficult that can be. It is hard continuing to work into your 3rd trimester,  but even more so when it is on night shift. Good luck to you and adjusting.

Where do you work? Normally night shifts are easier and more laid back since there is less people. More breaks :)

Like you I work nights but am only 7 weeks.. I have found my sleep pattern is all over the place and I'm getting really emotional due to lack of sleep. I have always worked nights but they seem to be knocking me for six at the minute..

Sleep as much as you can, I always find I sleep better if I haven't had any form of caffeine about an hour before I go to bed. Also maybe eat a little bit before you sleep so you aren't waking up hungry. And blackout blinds are a godsend!

Good luck.

If you don't get on maybe speak to your manager and explain that you cannot get used to this and see if they can do anything  to help. The worst they can say is no :)
