thanks guys, i called the midwives and they said to keep an eye on baby's movements and check for any bleeding, watery discharge and pain. the only pain i've had is in my groin from doing the splits and haven't had any other problems so think i'm fine. shall keep an eye on things though.

I would definitely go to the Doc....is better to be on the safe side and not have worry knowing that your baby is OK than to have something happens and regret not going there in the first place hun. Go get everything checked up! And Best of Luck! keep us updated. : )

Well, with a fall, they aren't concerned about the baby but rather the placenta detaching from a sudden impact.  You probably don't need to worry.  I fell flat on my stomach at 37 weeks on pavement...I fell hard and fast.  I was rushed to the hospital and monitored for 4 hours...if something were wrong with the placenta it would manifest within 4 hours by bleeding.  IF you have any bleeding go to Labor and Delivery pronto but since you didn't actually hit your stomach, you are probably all right.  Good luck!
