hi, so i'm pregnant with my second baby..and i'm about 8 weeks, and with my first baby, i had a scan at 7 or 8 weeks because there were some spotting and i was worried (everything is okay))... and now with my second...the pregnancy is going fine, no spotting or bleeding,and my ultrasound will be at week 12-14...another MONTH to wait...its so long...especially that i didn't even hear the heart beat....
so..i'm afraid that when i do go for the ultrasound next month...that the baby will not be there...or it'll be dead, miscarried without any bleeding..is that possible? i just want to have some proof that the baby is alright in there...hear the little fast heartbeat or see the scan picture, see the heart beating :(
just at least with my first baby i had a scan early... and it made pregnancy feeling more real..
i'm just worried...
and what do yous think about the heart dopplers that you can use at home? anyone use them?
and my symptoms aren't bad...a little bit of nausea here and there..depending on different smells that i don't like right now... and other symptom is peeing more than usual... thats all.. no cravings...my cravings stopped about 1 or two weeks ago...no vomiting since conceived...had cramps at about 3-4 week of pregnancy, mild cramps

my questions are:
anyone else worried like me?and didn't hear a heartbeat or had a scan?
can a woman misscarry without misscariage symptoms like bleeding and cramps?
can you still have preg symptoms if you misscaried?

got my scan..everything looks okay :))) 8 weeks and 3 days today..heard the heartbeat...looks healthy :)))) happy happy happy that i've seen my little blob of a baby :)

went to hospital today, and i'm getting my scan on friday, yaaay :))))) don't have to wait another month till the scan!))

Mines the same way. Ftm. I have to wait until I'm 12weeks. Had my first appointment at 7w!  I'm very nervous cuz my worst symptoms are nausea and fatigue. And servere colds. Which *****!!

awh thanks. But im now 35 weeks 5 days pregnant with my frist, after having three miscarriages! So im happy that i made it this far. :)

And my hospital always got me in right away when i had problems during pregnancies. So hopefully your hospital is the same. good luck. :)

Your worrying about this isnt good for the baby. So i really think e.r is your best bet.  Just tell them you been having some pains and you are pregnant and worried. They will most defiantly check a heart beat, then if they cant find  a beat (which is normal in early pregnancy) they will do an ultrasound scan. Then you can relax.
And I misscarried around 8 weeks, so we are guessing, just because i actually didnt know. But we found out at 10 weeks at my ultrasound when they couldnt find a beat or the sac.
I had nausea up until around nine weeks. And then it went away, but some people dont even get pregnancy symptoms in pregnancy so i wasnt to concern.

the waiting is horrible isn't it? it wouldn't be that bad waiting another month or two till next scan AFTER i at least heard the heartbeat and knew that the baby was there :(

I know exactly how you feel! I recently moved to Aus from Taiwan and over there when I was pregnant with my first two it was routine and covered by national med aid to have at least 10 ultrasounds!!! I had 12 with my first. Got here and they say 1 per trimester!!!! Talk about waiting a loooong time! In Taiwan, I could just rock up at the private maternity hospital, and be seeing the doc and getting a scan in a couple of minutes without any appointment some days!!!

Well MommyPaws if you really have concerns hunny go to the e.r. They usually rush pregnant women...especially if they are experiencing pain. Well my hospital did. I'm sorry about the unknown miscarriage, I was always told you bleed...so excuse me. Anyway MommyPaws, go get checked out...your little one is worth the e.r. wait!

it is worth it, but the doctors here...are...well ..for example i called yesterday to visit a late night doctor, cause i have a bad cold, and...she didn't even tell me to visit her.. she just talked to me over the phone, saying theres nothing i can take, and that colds are like that, and i can't have any medicine,i'm better now though.... so i'm just saying...they might not even give me a scan, as theres nothing wrong with me i'm just "worried"....
i do want to go and say i've pains or something..just so i have an excuse to go to the er...

And yes it can give you faulse heart best or even none. And you don't want to wait in e.r? Is it not worth to know if ur baby is okay? :/

No. you don't always have blood! I had a miscarry and didn't know because I had no blood or cramping. Smh.

thank you careymc:) i am really worried... i just want AT LEAST the heartbeat :)))) and i've read that there are misscariages where the body doesn't realise that the baby died, and still produces hormones, and preg symptoms...and no bleeding

i really don't want to go to er, cause the only time i can go is the evening, and if i go...i have to  wait a looong time in there..and when the doctor will see me, might want me to stay the night cause of high blood pressure (which i would have only from waiting a long time and worrying) so i don't really want to stay the night :( cause of me being silly and the baby being alright... i'll see where i can get a doppler...
but, i've been told that if they are used by non proffessionals they can give false results? like not babies heartbeat but mine...

If you miscarry there WILL be blood. No way around that. There are plenty of doctors that wait until 12 weeks to do the first scan. Don't stress too much over it...stressing makes things harder on a pregnant lady. Seems like you are just overly anxious to see the little one. I hope things get easier for you!

i havee a baby fetal doppler at my houuse && it is literally my best friend,
im pregnant with my second also && just as parinoid as youu && its a releif hearing the hearbeat when she hasnt beeen moving or something.

You can have a misscarried with out knowing. But if you are really worried just go to e.r and tell them you are worried. Then they well check the heart beat and might do an ultra sound :)
