Everyone always says not to do it because it can wrap the umbilical cord around the baby's neck. I asked my baby doc about it an she said it's just an old wives tale.

It's a wives tale that raising your arms above your head will cause the cord to wrap around the babies neck. It's just a wives tale though.

Thats awkward, my daughter kills my ribs so sometimes the only way to get rid of the pain is I sit down and stretch my arms over my head untill the pain eases,  sometimes its for like 30 mins.. im due today and shes still kicking so I think its a lie.
