Mine has gotten worse. If you need to, please use your inhaler. Not being able to breathe properly and not getting enough oxygen is far worse for baby than taking your inhaler. You are not supposed to change the way you use your asthma medication once you become pregnant unless told so by your dr. I had to see a pulmonologist this time around and he has given me symbicort which is class b safe. I have stress-induced asthma so this pregnancy is killing me.
Thank you everyone! My asthma has been absolutely horrible! It doesn't help that I also have severe anxiety which makes it worse now that I'm off that medication but also allergies and I feel like I can't do anything but sit around. I'm trying not to take my inhaler unless I have too since I'm still so early on but still have a house and 2 other older kids to take care of. Of course I just want the baby to be safe and healthy.
My has been worse too. I haven't really been able todo much to help it besides the iinhaler. My asthma is also worse with allergies. And its allergy season. I just try to take it easy and trying to take deep breathes helps some.
also I have had severe anxiety that makes it worse. It *****
She told me not to use a nebulizer because it increases my heart rate and baby's too. I don't know if you have one or not but I just wanted to throw that in there.
Use your inhaler!! It won't hurt the baby. I have asthma toon the Dr said we have to keep it handled. And if that regular inhaler wasn't enough she would prescribe me one to be used every 2 hours
Yes it ***** i dont use my inhaler because im scared idk if its safe. Im 38 weeks and never really remembered to ask my doc if it was okay. I try to stay away from all medications except for my prenatal. But when i feel like i cant breath or an attack coming on. I sit with my back straight as possible and i take big long deep breathes. Until i feel like i can breath normal i then get some cold water and eat the ice to take my mind off of it.
