BABY TOO BIG?

I am 38 weeks + 3 days. I went and saw the doctor and he is talking about inducing me right after my due date. He says he is worried that if we wait much longer the baby is going to get to big. I haven't had an u/s since i found out gender but my measurements they took yesterday over my tummy is over a cm bigger than i am suppose to. Her head has dropped into my pelvis (i can tell because i cqn feel it) her butt is all the way into the top of my ribs on the right side. Her feet kick my ribs and her hand jab at my hips. This wasnt a concern with my first. Does it sound like she is going to be a big baby? Anubody else been told this? My doctor doesnt want me going past 41 weeks. I always thought it was best to wait. Is this a legitimate concern? Should u go ahead and let him induce me or should i wait? Sorry it was so long.

My doctor is also wanting to induce me between those dates. I am having gallbladder issues though so it isn't suprising he is thinking that way. I've had an ultrasound though confirming my baby is ready. I would just make sure his reasons are valid and ask as many questions as you need to. Make sure you are comfortable with the decision if you need to be induced.

He is not wanting to induce until after the holidays. He is wanting between the 27th-31st. Because i thought the same thing bit he's wanting to wait until after the holiday

I would request an U/S personally. With it being so close to the holidays some doctors like to induce so you won't bother them during the holidays.

I am 36w measuring 41w.. at 32w they said my baby girl weighed well over 6 lbs. So I know the big baby feeling, my doc said if I make it to Jan 15 I will likely need a csection because she will be over 10lbs. I make big kids!! Likely your baby will be 8lbs, sounds pretty normal a cm isn't a big deal. Plus fuild could play a role.
