Cold/flu symtoms. No answer from dr.

Ladies,
I'm feeling so so so so bad. I called my doctor twice since 9 when they opened and they still haven't called me back. I didn't get any sleep all night, I have a sore throat, headache, ear pain and nausea (I haven't been nauseous in over a month so that's why I mention it). The worse is the body aches, I have no fever though (98.5). I took two tylenols, I didn't get my flu shot this year. What should I do?

When I got the flu my doctor told me I could take Zyrtec for the congestion and robitussin for my throat and of course Tylenol for any pain or headache

I've suffered from tonsillitis all my life & now that I'm pregnant is even worse but I called my doctor when I felt the infection spreading to my ears and even to my eyes, he prescribed me antibiotics(amoxillin) and I felt better in just hours of takin them. Keep callin ur doctor. It's like being pregnant is not painful enough. Get well soon :)

I got sick twice recently and I had the same symptoms. Tylenol and a saline nasal spray worked to help with most of it. In general though, you should try to sleep in a reclining chair if you have one. I can't remember exactly what my doctor said about them but it was the only place I was able to sleep. Drinking even more water will also help. Relax as much as possible. While it's flu season, there are still several other illnesses going around. What I discovered is that any illness can get/feel worse in pregnancy because of our limited immune system.
