baby heartbeat

I'm just curious what everyone's baby's heartbeats are around? Is it true boys are lower and girls are higher? We are hoping for a boy, went in for my 14 week check up and the heartbeat was 168. What have your boy/girl heartbeats at?

I was going by what my consultants and midwives tell me everytime I go to hear it which is twice a week.

I've never really heard about it being double the mother's heartbeat...but yesterday my baby A was 150 and my baby B was 155.

My little boy's was in the 140s last time I heard it. The heartbeat pace has nothing to do with what gender the baby is, the pace of the heartbeat is usually double the mother's.

I heard the same thing too. My baby's hb is 126 but still can't tell if it's a boy or a girl because I am just 9wks .
