Babys Heartrate

So today I had a regular appt for just check up and all, we listened to the babys heartbeat and it was 143, usually its around 160's. My doc didnt bring anything up and said it sounds good. Im 18 weeks today. Is it normal for the heartrate to be different all the time & have that much of a difference? I dont want to think anythings wrong.

My sons hb started that high. I'm 36 weeks now n it was 133 today. Good luck w the pregnancy

They dont even check the number at my appointments...they just find the heartbeat and move along...so im guessing its not a very important factor

I was wondering that same thing my babys heart rate has been droping I go every week and every week it drops by like 2 beats or maybe 4 depends. It started at 165 and now its 150
