belly piercing?

Hello ladies! For those who had their belly pierced.. when did you remove it? (If you did) and has anyone used the belly ring for prego girls? Haha I saw it online and not sure if I should get one because I'm not sure if its safe to keep a belly ring in during pregnancy?

I had my belly pierced for 3 years, but I took mine out at 12, 12 1/2 weeks 'cuz It was gettin' uncomfortable for me and was turning red and started to hurt when I touched the ring. Which It never did that before, so It was time to say goodbye lol. I have this friend who used a maternity belly ring for her pregnancy, she juss had her kid almost two months ago and hers turned out fine.

its going to depend on how m,uch yur tummy is able to stretch. if it doesnt take it well then the piercing may look stretched. i switched mine to a pregnancy ring but i was awkward and i didnt like it so i put the normal one back in within a day. mine was fine for the last pregnancy i guess i will find out for this one

Everyones body is diff hun. I have the prego ring, and I haven't had any problems so far. My best friend on the other hand, she used the prego ring and had to take it out bc hers started hurting and ended up stretching out. Hopefully I won't have to do that lol. Try the prego ring and are how it works for you. My sister didn't take hers out til she was about to deliver

You can usually leave in your regular one until 25-30 weeks.  I left mine in until 31 weeks and then I bought a super cute maternity ring on Amazon, and to be honest for anyone else besides me it would have been wonderful.  See I got my belly button pierced 8 days before my conception date and it never really got to heal and I had a lot of problems with that fact.  I would deff recommend a maternity one when you feel like taking regular metal on out.

it's safe, just your belly button will never look the same.

I took mine out around 12 weeks. But that was because I researched and tons of people say that as they leave it in, it makes your belly button look all messed up, However I asked my dr, and he said you technically do not need to take it out until it is uncomfortable. I have also heard, that with or with out it, you belly button is still going to look the same after pregnancy. lol so idk I took it out as a precaution, as i dont want to make my belly look worse, but you can buy pregnancy belly rings that stretch as you stretch. I personally just didnt want to invest in the belly ring lol. Hope this helps. Oh and I am `16 weeks, and my belly button still looks fine (w/o the ring)
