Mucus plug??

I posted something a little while ago where i had went to the bathroom and saw a brownish glob on the toilet paper. I talked to one of the nurses and she said if i wasnt having regular contractions and my water hadn't broke not to worry. And it only happened that one time. well i just went to the hospital last night because of contractions. they were horrible there and after four hours sent me home with a prescription for a UTI and said that's what was causing the contractions. i've still been having the tightening today after starting the meds and just now again when i used the bathroom there was another glob on the toilet paper. So im wondering if i should call my dr again or if that could be a side affect of the UTI?? Any advice/ input is GREATLY appreciated!!

I called and talked to the nurse and she said to give the medicine 72 hrs to work and if nothing has changed by Friday to call back immediately and if they get worse and are two mins apart or he's not moving to go back to the hospital. And not to do any kind of work  She also set up another regular dr app for next week instead of waiting two. Thanks again! Let's hope this book and relaxing helps make my body calm down! :)

Yea, I would definitely call and be on the safe side, especially if you are having regular contractions. This happened to me around 27 weeks and I was put on bedrest because of the constant contractions and I was dilated. I hope all works out!!

I'll be 33 weeks tomorrow. and its not so much painful just irritating and almost constantly tightening. Sunworshiper, im sure they're already annoyed with how much i call and ask questions lol. So i think i will call again cause what can it hurt? you're right i'd rather be safe than sorry! thank you ladies!!

I would call your dr just to be safe. I think you bad said before that you are at risk for Pre term labor and that being the case I'd tell dr about anything that happens. Better safe than sorry :) and if they get annoyed hey you will be delivering by that point ;)

how far are you? if you are close to your due date it could be because of the uti it could have put you into early stages of labor, i would keep and eye on the contractions, if they become 2 mins apart and painful i would go back to the hospital.
