big baby.

I'm a + size pregnancy and been to see my midwife today. I'm 25 weeks and when she measured the stomach I was 33 cm, which is way off. I'm now worried and wondered if anyone else found they had a big baby and what the outcome was. Thanks

hiya lovely, my labour was really quick with her compared to the others, she was the middle baby, they were all big babies 10lb and over but she was my biggest up to now, and yes i delivered vaginally with just gas and air, i was induced with her and from start to finish it took 6 hours, i had to be stitched after i had her as i did tear but to be honest she was by far the easiest and quickest birth, they say the bigger they are the more they help themselves out,  oh and Im only 5ft 4 lol Xx

When I was pregnant w/my last daughter, I never measured bigger than 28 wks. However, she was born on time & at 7# 1oz. So the measuring tape doesn't reveal a whole lot.

I'm 39 weeks and measuring 41, I totally feel like I have a big baby inside and as my 2nd and 3rd babies were not small I'm guessing on maybe a 9 1/2 or even 10 pounder this time...eek!!

CMarie81 - how did your labour with your daughter go? Was it a vaginal birth? My biggest weight was 9lb and they said he had plenty of room, I'm 5 feet 9 tall, but still worried about the possibility of pushing out a baby bigger than that.

I measure big all the time.... But I know that the baby is actually measuring a week bigger then my due date.   I know that it is not very often that you measure the same as the number of weeks you are.

With this pregnancy I was measuring larger than I was supposed to, so my doc sent me in for an ultrasound to make sure there weren't two beans instead of just one. But come to find out, I'm two weeks further along then we thought I was. Do you think twins may be a possibility? Or have they measured the baby to see what week the baby measures at? Cuz at first I didn't believe when they said I was further along cuz I had what I thought was a normal period... But I guess I concieved two weeks before that.
