bleeding then it stopped

Hi I'm 6 almost 7 weeks pregnant and on Saturday I had period like cramps followed by some blood.. it wasn't a lot of blood but it wasn't so light either.. and through out the week it has gotten lighter and it's finally gone.. I didn't Go to the doctor but any ideas what it could have been? Is it normal or could it have been a Miscarriage?

My youngest sister had light period like bleeding through her whole pregnancy. She went to the ER 3 times for it. They finally told her it was normal for her. They told her to come in if the blood is light pink or fresh looking and theres enough blood to fill a maxi pad. I don't know if this helps, but when in doubt go find out.

I read that a dark brownish coloured bleeding is normal around that time. Any bleeding should be brought to the attention of your doctor though! I hope everything is okay!
