I was told you should stick to 1 brand with formula unless they have an intolerance or something. I have bought a little pre made formula cartons as I plan to breastfeed but I wouldn't buy a lot of formula before the baby is born if I was you.
Only reason I'm not doing cloth diapers is because every baby I've used them on (friends and family) always get a nasty rash. Of course diapers too but worse. even if i have extras i still plan on donating them. we have a huge place, The Ronald McDonald house near us and i make regular donations there. as for the wipes, never enough of them! Even i use them for myself! Formula... haven't looked into it that much. i figured get a few cans of each brand. figure it out as i go. i want to breastfeed but having only one breast capable? I think formula would be best. I haven't gotten anything else much for the baby, waiting for the baby shower. i have a LARGE family, so no lie there's gonna be over 200 people there. first baby born to the family since my little brother, 12 years. even then mom didn't have a baby shower so we're expecting a great turn out. thanks for the advice everyone!!
Not to crazy just keep in mind that if you have a baby shower you will get TONS of diapers and wipes. My bf would not let me buy anything til after the baby shower and I am glad I did. I got so many diapers and wipes I think im set for the first couple months.
That's not silly. The baby will use the diapers eventually. But don't get more that one big box of size n. Newborns grow so fast. The size newborn diapers AND clothes didn't last more than 2 weeks with my kids. So try not to buy to many. It's easier to send someone out to buy you diapers after the baby comes than it is to send someone out to exchange diapers.
Thats a great idea actually cus i lost my job aswell last week n im not really worried cus i stocked up on diapers of all brands all sizes and i will breastfeed my baby like i did my
1st n i stocked up on formula as well again diffrent brands ten of each brand to be exact .. theres like 8 types of brands i have chosen n clothing im not really worried ither cus i bought clothing for the baby i have my sons handy downs aswell n i kno i like to sew so ill proberly b makin him lil outfits
I've been doing that since I hit the second trimester. All I have are n and 1 but I don't have a whole bunch, enough to last me a month or so. I bought a bunch of wipes too cause you can never have enough of those. You can always exchange diapers for the correct size if you choose to. Walmart will always accept it as long as they aren't opened.
Also you may find out your baby can't have a certain type of formula
I would say don't buy a ton of n, 1, or 2. My son was in 3s and 4s the longest. They grow so fast when they're really little. Though most stores will let you exchange for a different size :)
I wanted to but lost my job but I planned on cloth diapering and breastfeeding so not much preparation had to be done other than wipes which I have thousands of
I found out of my pregnancy at 8 weeks. So 2 months. By the 3rd month I had shoes, diapers, 2 cribs, toddler seat, 2 car seats, bassinet, stroller, blankets, clothes and now I'm 7 months and literally nothing is missing lol. I have pacifiers, bottle cleaners, wipe warmer, etc. AND still haven't had my baby shower. Lol you're fine.
