Hahaha, yeah I guess you're right. and that kind of makes since.. but not really since my hip is in the way of my uterus, i'd only be pushing my belly up not the baby.. but i'll try some things sometime and see if i could provoke the movement. i felt movement one time. and it was so early on.. but i'm positive that's what it was, baby must have just been laying against the spot i pushed on so i felt it easily. anyways, yeah, thanks..
When I was first pregnant, I would lay on my side and sort of push my belly into the mattress so that baby would be pushed up toward the ceiling (if that makes ANY sense to you at all, LOL!). I would push my fingers in really deep and wait. Sometimes I'd feel this bump or something brush my fingers. Sometimes it would be hard enough to actually bump my hand off my stomach! It would make my heart skip and I'd get so excited!!! I love the feeling. That's my favorite part of pregnancy.
One of my girlfriends keeps asking me every day if I'm pregnant yet, and telling me that if I could, I'd be pregnant my entire life. I love babies and feeling them when pregnant!!! My husband thinks it is freaky and he said he'd get annoyed if something kept moving around in his stomach. LOL! I guess that is why women have the babies.
I keep thinking that as well, but earlier i was drawing with charcoal when it happened and i immediately stopped and just paid attention to the tension to see what happened and then i put my hand there to see if i could feel it inside OR out, but no movement really. perhaps the slightest little shift.. but i pay real close attention when i think it's happening, so that i know what to look for. lol cause i know a lot of women say that, that at first they didn't recognize it but were feeling it for a while, i don't know that that will be me. i'm obsessive over it when i think it's coming. Hahah.
The first couple times she moved I was unsure if it was here... it was only later (when it got stronger) that I realized I had been feeling her those times. So maybe you are feeling him/her right now... but you just dont really know it!
yay. i'm hoping i'm close. i've been so excited and eager to feel them!!! i can't wait. :P
Yeah that hard spot would be the baby... I started feeling the tension right before the flutters! :)
Thank you. Well, i read a few sites that actually say they go on throughout the second trimest even very early on but most will not notice them. they are just preparing the uterus, etc.. but aren't really noticable until further on.. but yeah, i'm not sure about it, but thats just what i had read. i'm hoping real soon i'll be able to feel the baby moving!! :) did you skip the "Flutters" stage? or during the tension period that you're talking about, did you also feel the fluttering? and yes, i know it's like, in one spot.. I'm always guessing, it's that pulling feeling right where the baby is. and usually when i press there, it's somewhat harder than the other spots, so i'm sure the baby is there. so i kind of just put two and two together... lol
I had some tension during mine's first movements... kinda like a stretching pulling feeling it just a little area (not like pulling a muscle). I'm not sure how to really describe it... but after that I felt real movements about a week or two later and then nice kicks a couple weeks after that! :)
At 16w2d I'm not sure they would be braxton hicks since I think those usually start around the mid 20's. But I'm not positive.
