early labor

I think im in early labor. Having contractions that wrap around my lower abdomen, and in my lower back. Nothing super intense but enough to make me uncomfortable.could this be early labor? I'm 37 weeks and 3 days

They have been then all day and the pain keeps getting worse but they are super close together... ill have three 4 minutes apart then wont have one for 15 minutes.. my midwife said once I have then 5 min apart for an hour then to come in. I wasnt dilated as of last tuesday but that was a week ago, and I've been walking and bouncing in my big ball every day. So that could have changed changed. I gonna try to get some rest.. im afraid my water will break in my sleep and I wont wake up! Lol

I have that same thing happen every once in awhile lasts for like 15 seconds and then comes back maybe 2-3 times every couple hours. People say oh those are contractions its normal. Im like no they arent im not dilated or effaced at all.. they said yes those are contractions. Lol I argue with them yet ive never had a baby so I really dont know what to expect in general

It's definitely possible.  Have you timed them yet?  There are free contraction timers that you can get for your phone.  Good luck either way.

They say when you can't talk through a contraction it's time to go in, but everyone is different so I'd wait to see if they pick up or don't go away and definitely go in to get checked!
