Does your plug come out when you dilate or can you dilate and not lose your plug?

No ma'am. Your plug can come out whenever, you don't have to be dilated at all. Mine has been coming out. I'm 37 weeks and pieces have been coming out at a time but I'm not dilated at all. Some women lose it way before labor and dilating, and some lose it the day of birth!

Good question. I'm dilated a little, does that mean I've lost my plug??
