38+4 and 4cm dilated

I'm 38 weeks 4 days and already 4cm dilated. Im not sure if it's normal to be that dilated this early. So how far along is everybody and how much r u dilated?

Yeah I set up an induction date for 39+3 but my daughter had a change of plans. ..lol..She came at 38+3 and weighed 6 pounds,  13 oz.

I'm supposed to be induced Monday but I  just had a Dr appointment today and they told me I may not even make it til then

I was 4 cm at 38+3..Went to the hospital for contactions and gave birth later that night.
You're pretty much full term so there's nothing really wrong with it.

I'm in the exact same boat as you. I'm 38w+3d & 4 cm also. I just had an appointment this morning. He told me it's not normal to be that far dilated this early but there's nothing wrong w/ it. He wants me to try to get to 39 wks, if I make it there, & then they'll induce me if the baby doesn't come on its own.

That's good! I'm only at two and just made 39 weeks but I chose not to be checked this past Monday so hopefully by this coming Monday I would've made more progress!!
