Yea they to me ur suppose to exclusively breast feed for 3-4 weeks after birth before pumping cause u pump to early it could mess up your milk supply and cause it to dry up
I got oxycodiene...... Not percs
Wait. I pump now. No one told me. At all......
After a week or two the pain eases up. Don't give up it really is worth it. Get nipple cream and I am pretty sure you can alternate Tylenol and ibuprofen. Babies can not take ibuprofen but I was given it with my pain killers after delivery while breastfeeding. Did they not give you and loratab or Percocet after you delivered or did you run out. Normally that helps.
You can get in a warm shower too...let the water run over your breasts. You should get some let down and have some relief if you are engorged. If you stick with it then it will get much better. It's difficult at first.
Ur not suppose to pump until after 3-4 weeks of exclusively breast feeding. Because it could mess up the flow of your milk supply
Breast feeding can be so painful when we start out, I breast fed my son exclusively for until he grew out of it... The pain wont last forever and it is well worth it. Hang in there <3
There are nice gel nipple pads that I loved but they are expensive from the mercy mall, also la leches league sells similar pads along with lanolin (like vasaline) to help with pain.
There's always cold washcloths and water bottles for keeping on each breast, I have as always trying to remember to keep something cold close!
Best wishes
If you are that swollen, you need to call your doctor today. If the office is closed, call the nurse line. Someone will get back to you.
Lanolin is no longer recommended for nipples. It's not good for baby.
I have noooo ankles.. And they shoot pains to my hips when I step wrong..

You can take motrin. And yes its normal to he swollen unless its like scary swollen.
Mkay, sounds good. I'm calling tomorrow. :)
I think you can take only Tylenol and use lanolin on your nipples to help with the pain but check with doctor... I'm not sure about the swollenness, I would call on that too to make sure it's not eclampsia
