Shayanneh, would you want to be named a name that your mother went around and asked everyone if they liked it and everyone said no, they didn't like that name?
Let me tell you, I wouldn't!!
There is a LOT of interesting statistics on baby names and how the names affect the child through childhood and adulthood.
Here's a recent study in Britain but their culture is similar to the US. Basically, parents and kids regret if they're given a name no one else has and the novelty wears off quickly.
It boils down to: some parents name their children hoping it will make them stick out, and some parents name their children hoping it will help them fit in.
In Germany, you can't choose a name that's odd. Birth Certificates have to be approved, and the name has to be recognizable as an actual name, has to be associated with one gender, and can't be a joke name, like Sandy Beach.
Because names do matter. And yes, in the US you can name your child Ima Hogg if you want to but it's kinder to give your child a name that they will like and feel comfortable with.

I like the name:) nobody likes the name I've picked but I'm definately sticking with it
I personally don't like it
For some reason makes me think of something negative
But its or baby or call
Why not go with caidence
I like it! It's different! I've never heard of the band...but at the end of the day it's your baby. Don't worry about if other people likes her name or not. There's always gonna be something about you that somebody doesn't like. Oh well!
I just want to name her something diffrent
I don't have a strong opinion on that name (BTW, the band is Creedence Clearwater Revival) but why would you sick with a name that everyone you know tells you is a bad name?
I really don't understand - at all - the attitude that some moms have when everyone they tell has a negative reaction to a name, they insist on using it anyway.
Would you want to live all your life with a name nobody likes?
Michael Jackson named his son blanket. I think you can name her whatever you want.
I honestly don't like it. I'm sorry
