breathing issues

Anyone else feel like their oxygen supply has been dramaticly cut in half. Just laying down I get chest pressure when just laying down trying to breath. And feel like rattling or something in my chest. I'm not congested or sick. I know its normal to have shortens of breath due to everything moving up. But I feel like its being crushed :/ and I'm only 20 weeks blah.

Shortness of breath is actually a sign of anemia. Have your iron levels checked.

I know exactly what you mean... You go to the doctors knowing what you want to go over and then once you finally get to see them, listen to the babes heart beat and all the fun stuff you get completely side tracked and forget to go over everything that you needed too. So once that kept happening to me I started writing down notes and little lists on my phone and making sure that I went over it with them before the visit was over. Now every time I go to the doctors he always asked me if I have anything to go over with him, he probably thinks I'm crazy lol but it really helps :)

Thanks ladies. I'm going to give the nurse a call. Better safe than sorry.  My last apt I forgot because I was thrown off by him telling me my cervix was thinning and all this crazy stuff so my mind was everywhere.

Oh you are? If your at a high risk then I would have them look into it, especially if its a constant thing and your only 20 or so weeks. Also don't worry about bugging your doctor that's what their there for!

if it's that constant at 20 weeks, i would ask the doc. baby needs all the oxygen it can get. :) im not sure you can use inhalers during pregnancy either. ;(

See mine is constant sitting standing laying I haven't been able to sleep. But I thought maybe your just having anxiety about not getting enough oxygen and its making it worse. I hate bugging the Dr lol I'm already high risk and see him enough lol

I spoke to my doctors about it and he told me that I'm going to feel like that but if it happens ALL the time then to let him know and he'll look further into it. It's not a consent thing it just happens here and there

I feel the same exact way! I'm 31 weeks though but when I lay down or even when Im not sometimes I feel like I'm wheezing or there's something rattling in my chest (like you said) and I just can't catch my breathe. It ***** but I guess it's one of those joys of being pregnant :)

:( I remember that from when I was pregnant with my daughter. It was pretty uncomfortable. Maybe you're carrying higher than normal, hence why it's starting so early.
I'm not sure about the rattling though. Are you sure you're not sick? Do you have asthma? I was "blessed" with asthma and of course it only got worse when I was fat :)
