I didn't drink soda with caffeine in my first trimester only because I was paranoid. I never liked coffee since it gives me an upset stomach so no biggie.
But after my first trimester I started drinking soda w/ caffeine again. Some days I go without soda and just drink water and juice. I've only drank like 4 medium cups of Starbucks throughout my pregnancy. (Caramel Frappuccino)
I'm 38 weeks & 5 days now, my baby boy is completely healthy! :)
But I did notice that too much soda makes me gain waaaay more weight, however that might be different for you.
During my first pregnancy, the only craving I had besides the many wondrous forms of potatoes, was Dr. Pepper. I had to have it everyday and I was never told that it was bad, just that I shouldn't drink a lot of coffee or energy drinks. But everyone and their doctors have different opinions.
My doctor was completely against me having any caffeine especially in the first trimester I found out I was pregnant at 3 weeks I'm currently 20 weeks 1 day and haven't had any caffeine every doctor or woman will say different
My chiropractor and doctor have both said to cut down caffine as much as you can tolerate. Energy drinks and having 2 shots of espresso in coffee is definitely out, energy drinks especially because of other chemicals in those drinks, but a soda or two or a cup of normal coffee is ok. Just be conscientious.
I drank it during my first pregancy never even was told not to and still am with this one they say avoid during first trimester due to miscarries but caffeine has yet to be linked to that ... im a coffee addict I drink daily I don't drink soda tho but I never did not being pregnant women have been doing it for years eat healthy exercise regularly treat your body how u would without being pregnant just more cautious with the cravings, Cuz I know all I ever wanna eat is fries n chocolate
No more than 200-300 mg a day. You can look up how much is in each thing you want to drink to keep track
Most soda has 30-40mg per can. I'd worry more about coffee drinks. And the sugar in soda over the caffeine content
200 milligrams a day is about the limit which is like a 12 oz cup of coffee but like maybe two sodas in one day won't hurt just not all day everyday
Its bad to drink energy drinks and coffee and soda in large amounts... A small soda or cup of coffee here and there however isn't bad as long as you keep hydrated
I drink it every now and then and im 26 weeks. I know people who have their whole pregnant. I would say as long as you drink water and stay hydrated a little caffeine is ok. You could always just call your doctor and ask also.
