can purifol folic acid haywire your menstrual cycle?

hi! im 30, and have a regular cycle until last month;
sept 25, oct 25, and then i had unprotected sex at my most fertile day last month, nov 10.
i was shocked to have my period on nov17, a week too early for nov.25.
it also have started taking folic acid, purifol 5mg around this time.
i was bleeding for around 2-3days, a week before i should be having my menstruation, so im guessing this is a restart of my new cycle.
it is now dec27 and no mens yet, 18 days late if i should've have it last dec14.. took a hpt last wk (at night) and came out negative. what's happening?
the weirdest thing is that people around me are asking if im pregnant because i have gained weight. ive been with my partner for almost 2yrs now and ive never been asked of that before.. could purifol be doing this to mybody?
