I've researched this quite a bit and it doesn't matter if you've done it before you were pregnant. It is extremely dangerous doing self checks while pregnant. By checking it regularly and while your still quite early on you can cause your cervix to start to open as well as distress to the baby. I'm not sure where your from but I live in Cumbria Uk and my midwife won't check my cervix or anyone else's without proper cause as it can lead to too many complications. I would discuss things with your doctor to make sure that your cervix isn't opening

With a second - which ever pregnancy u are on except the first. The cervix is open a little. And you should never check your own cervix because it sometimes leads to labor.
