I'm with you gals... I had HG from weeks 5-18 and I still suffer from nausea on occasion... STILL. Ahh, the things they don't tell you about pregnancy! I have to take 25 mg of Anzemet (a prescription) just to get through the morning, or else I'll be barfing everywhere & just not able to function. I have found that small meals help a lot, and staying very hydrated. I literally have to force myself to drink at least 2 full Nalgene bottles (64 oz. total) a day just to keep from being dehydrated, because dehydration can make nausea much worse. "Preggie Pops" help, you can find them online or at Motherhood Maternity. They're tasty and help curb the queasies. I'm sorry you feel so awful and I understand...
yeah i tried lime for a while and it worked but than i got really bad heartburn from all the acid in the lime so that didint help. i had morning sickness until about 21wks, really bad morning sickness i couldnt get outta bed i was pueking all the time and was always wanting to cry. im now 29wks and i feel you once again ive been feeling like **** for the past wk .ugh im sick of being sick and vomiting all the time, i cant do this anymore..if you go to a website called threelollies.com they sell natural fruit flavored lolli pops they are made for m/s they helped me alot and ice chips helped alot to. i really hope you feel better cuz i know how bad it *****.
That's funny you should say that. My co-worker literally said the same thing to me 5 minutes ago.. Only major problem is I loathe lemons and limes, I think that would bring on nausea for me!! =) Thanks for the tip though!
I dont know if anyone has ever tried this but sucking on a lime helped me alot. I know salt is not the best, but sometimes i would add some salt to the lime. I loved it and it made me feel better. I even asked my midwife and she said lime isnt bad for you,she said if it makes you feel better go ahead try it. Good luck, hope this passes.
Natural Ginger Soda or tea, its delicious and it helps A LOT with stomach issues and nausea.
My OBGYN gave me these suckers (they also have hard candies), their called "B-natal suckers". He said you can get them over the counter also. I have only tried them once, but sometimes when you are already nausea it's hard to even try to eat a sucker! But one of my friends said she lived by those during her first trimester. My OBGYN also said that taking vitamin B6 will help.
I'm almost 19 weeks and still getting sick at least every other day! Not to discourage you, b/c I still have faith that it will end any day now! Everyone is different and I know that MOST people feel better after the 1st Trimester.....but unfortunately not all of us! The only thing that I found that works a little is eating all the time.....bread, crackers, pasta.....I know, all those carbs! I asked my midwife about it and she pretty much said that as long as I can keep something down, it's OK......I've only gained 6 lb/s so far, so it's not affecting my weight that much. They even wrote me a Rx for Zofran......didn't help at all......Try the eating! Good luck and I hope it ends soon for you!
