My best friend has one clubbed foot and it bothered her for a long time because she thought no one would be her friend if anyone knew. She told me about it and most times I don't remember about it shes comfortable walking around with out her cast anywhere now. She walk fine but does complain about back pain now and then. She is a lot happier now that it's out in the open. She told me she walked when she was 1 yr 5 mos but only because she was a lazy baby hahah everything will be alright though hun just relax and don't stress out because no matter what your child will always be perfect.
I was born with club feet and have no problems now. When I was born they made me these special corrective shoes that fit my feet. The shoes had a bar that attached between the shoes when i slept. My parents say i kept them up at night bc i would bang the bar against the side of my crib. By the time i was two things were fine and i learned to walk like any normal kid. However i could not do the breaststroke kick correctly until i was about 12, my feet wanted to turn in instead of out. :)
Last year i spoke with the mother of a girl also born with club feet. Her daughter's legs had to be broken and reset, she was wearing casts on both her legs/feet. She was about a year and a half old. The mother had no reason to believe her daughter would not walk normally someday.
Don't worry, things will be fine.
My boyfriends nephew was born with clubbed feet. Hes 3 now and walks perfectly fine. I don't recall recovery time bc I wasnt aroubd there. Just wanted you to know that it gets better! Don't stress too much
