glucose test

Hey so iv got my glucose test tomorrow iv been told it wil take roughly 21/2hours but everyone else seems to have been offered this 1 hour test first. Iv been told to fast but im still unsure what to expect can anyone enlighten me as my midwife dint even take the time to explain at my appointment when i asked her

Where i live they give you a bottle of solution which is basically sugar water then you have to wait for and hour then have blood drawn and that is a fasting test.... If you dont pass that one they have you come back drink.same solution and wait 3 hours and draw blood... Ive never heard of a 2 1/2 hour test... And if your midwife doesnt take the time to answer your questiond i would choose another midwife because that is her job to take care.of you and take care of any concerns you have

I only did the 1 hr but i was there for 2 hrs. It took her 30 min to see me and than like 10 to get my drink n for me to drink it. Than u wait exactly an hr for the blood draw and i checked back n w my midwife and left. Maybe shes just preparing u. I have heard of the 2hr glucose also

Hey if your not sure why she doing that you should give your dr a call
If he/she refuses 
It time to change your dr.
