Packing ours this weekend! Our son will be with his grandparents, and they will bring him when i start pushing. I am going to pack him a small bag of toys and snacks just in case for whatever reason i go into labor and i can't get a hold of my inlaws. You can never be too prepared!
I wouldn't want my child to stay at the hospital, but I DO want my husband there. So my mom will be watching my son so he can sleep in his own bed, and DH will be staying in the hospital with me, I don't blame you for not wanting to be there alone. I stayed the last 2 nights at the hospital alone with my son and it wasn't too bad, it was actually pretty peaceful haha!
The hospital I'm delivering at doesn't allow children at all, so I would definitely call to check. I just packed my bag and I have chapstick, nipple pads, slippers, iPod, lots of black panties and black pants to go home in so no stains :P ooh and snacks!
yea thatd be a good idea,,, cuz ive never heard of kids stayin the night
Oh really well maybe I will need to talk to my doctor about how to go about that so we can have a plan on what were going to do when the day comes.
im pretty sure kids are not allowed to stay the night at the hospital... ive never heard of that
Thank you. For those of you who had other small children did they stay overnight in the hospital as well or stay with somebody else? My husband wants to bring her home and just leave me and the baby there all night? I just don't know if I wanna be alone all night without them. Would it be best for him to do that?
Oh n btw im only 31wks 4days so I got it ready really early lol
I already have mine packed cause u never know what can happen I got a couple of outfits for baby a blanket for him a going home "outfit" for me deodarant shampoo n soap (cause I dont like the foam stuff they give @ the hospital) socks for both of us hair brush n rubberbands for me n extra panties oh n comfy clothes to wear there if u dont want to wear the hospital gown, I think thats pretty much it cause they usually provide u and baby with the rest of what yall need
You can pack your bags when ever you ate comfortable. I packed mine with my first child at 34 weeks. K took a change of clothes for me an baby a gown and robe. Baby some gowns. Tooth brush, tooth paste, shampoo, brush, and the baby a blanket or two depending on the time of year. And that's all i can remember
Alot of people will be able to tell you exactly what you need, here are some non-typical things that I was glad I had

q-tips
bobby pins
my own pillow/blanket
small mirror
