actually levels double every 48-72hrs, but yes my levels were likely around 20-25 when I tested earlier in the day. I had the blood test about 4 hrs after the digital.
I always used the First Response. Red/Pink dye for some reason has less complaints about evap. lines.
That's how I figured out I was with my first baby, and again with this baby.
But it came with 2 in the box, and one of them messed up cuz I accidentally dropped it in the toilet while I was peeing on it cuz I was so scared and shakey!! lmao
But the water messed up the screen and wouldn't even show the regular line that was SUPPOSED to be there.
So I went back to the store and bought the clear blue with the 2 in the box and they were both +

Hi im sorry didnt work out for you this time.but the clear blue easy fertility monitor is great.be warned though takes a couple cycles for it to get to know your cycle,but i swear by it.i was using that as well as the ovulation tests.turns out month i got pregnant.i had positive ovulation tests.thought hey its time,but in fact i got my peak on monitor week later.so i mostly rely on monitor.as this is accurate.make sure you chart as well will also help.fingers crossed for this cycle.
Thanks! I just started using the CBE monitor this cycle so hopefully that will work out sooner rather than later. And I'm def going to use clearblue digitals from now on, especially after your story. If your hcg was 27 when you went to the doctor, that means it was even lower when you took the test earlier that day because it's supposed to double every day. That means that test is pretty sensitive! Thanks again for the info. :-)

so I'd say use the clearblue digital since it's so sensative. I also ovulated a week late, so if I were to go by my LMP (last period) I'd be due with baby Mason Dec 20th, but since I O'd late I am due Dec 25th (xmas!)

if you don't have the money for the Clearblue easy monitor you can always try going on amazon.com and getting a batch of 20 or so for about $25... it comes with about 5 pregnancy tests.

Thanks for the input everyone! AF actually just started. I'm Ok with that, it'll happen in time. I'm happy to enjoy a glass of wine tonight now that I know I'm not pregnant.
Awwwwww, sorry hon! I didn't want to be the one who said it didn't look like a positive. Depending on when your period is due you could be testing too soon. Or perhaps you ovulated late.
Give your body a few days and if you still feel the need to re-test, definitely use First Response or Clearblue Digital.

Like Nickie said, if you don't get AF within a few days just retest. I was testing EVERY DAY AND NIGHT and getting BFN's and it was just too early, til at 12DPO I used a Clear Blue Digital with FMU and got my PREGNANT result! I'm now almost 27w with a son.

I'm sorry. This just happened to me a couple weeks ago with a clear blue easy. The blue dye tests suck. My line showed up within 1 minute. It happened twice. But the 6 negative FR tests and blood test confirmed I was not preggo. I know hard hard it is. You will get your BFP soon!! Baby dust to you!!!
I guess it was an evap line because it's a BFN this morning...

It actually looks like an evaporation line to me. Usually a positive line will be as thick as the control line.

that's ok, this is why i posted it to get support and people's input and it's good that someone told me before i got overly excited only to be dissappointed again. i looked it up on the web and i did see that people were complaining about evap lines and blue dye tests. mine's an equate early result pregnancy test from walmart. i should have just paid a few more dollars and gotten the FRER.
since two others came in the box, i'll probably take one in the morning and one the next day and if they get darker, i'll get a clearblue digital to confirm. that's if AF doesn't come first!
