i have a friend who has been cramping and spotting and she is 10 weeks now (browneyedgurl)....as the other ladies said it can be quite common but i understand why you want to get in sooner

has your doc rang you back yet? usually cramping is enough to warrant an early u/s but as cass said sometimes that is more stress than needed

Ivy - i love that saying!!! google can sometimes lead to a black hole....wayyyyyy tooooo much info

HAH!  I have to agree with Ivy!!  Try to relax.  Cramping is actually quite normal early on.  Beleive me, after 8 pregnancies I have learned that just because something happens or does not happen in one or two doesn't mean it will be the same with others.

Hopefully you'll get your u/s soon!

I totally understand girl, but that's probably what it is - your uterus is sore and it's spastic...or maybe you're dehydrated, or or...I'm sure baby is just fine :-). I hope you get your ultrasound though...and praying your dates are perfect and you see a strong little heartbeat!!!

Ohhh jeez that's a tough one, I can definitely see why you don't want to wait...

idk hon. Follow your gut...if you can remember that the heartbeat might not be visible yet and still be OK with that, I'd say go ahead and try to get the u/s.

Welllll you could say that you've been cramping, and that you THINK you might have spotted.

But....you know Lindsay that at 6 weeks you may end up stressing yourself out more if your dates are off by a little bit and the heartbeat isn't visible yet, so you may just want to wait. When do they want to do your first ultrasound?
