If I were you I will still go because the are going to check different things. Like confirm your pregnancy, check the protein on your urine, and do some blood work to see your hormone levels, check for dehydration, do a diabetes test just to make sure that you don't get gestational diabetes . After that you will get another appointment 2 weeks after and you will get your ultrasound and see your little one in action moving around and everything.
My twin's heartbeats were found at 5 weeks and 5 days. I think it just depends...sometimes it can be too early for the tech or machine to pick up. Most doctors won't see you that early though.
I saw my baby @7 wks. They usually do US here where I live on your first appt to confirm your pregnancy.
I got mine done at 8 weeks just because I was sick and they wanted to check if the baby was ok. It had to be a transvaginal ultrasound all I could see was the sac and my baby a little tiny pea oh and I got to see his little heat beat.
Oh also most offices charge if you don't cancel an appt in enough notice. Usually at least 24 hours.
Take advantage of all your doctor appointments. You will be able to hear the heart beat and possibly see the yolk sak. And it never hurts to make sure you're doing perfectly alright as well.
You can't always get a heartbeat at 6 weeks. And it also depends how good the ultrasound sound machine is. My 9 weeks first appt and ultrasound you could make out eyes mouth baby sac and clearly see heartbeat. But 6 weeks is very ify usually. I would just go to the appointment. Get the ultrasound next appt. You may be able to hear heartbeat on Doppler i was able to at 8 weeks. And you don't need a prescription for prenatals hun. Most of the ones they are prescribe are rather harsh and hard to digest anyways. Really just depends what they give you.
Mine was at 6 weeks, say the sac, the baby, and even saw the heart beat flickering. I would consider going to another doc if you can get an appointment quickly.
Not true. Our first appt was at 6 weeks and we could hear the heartbeat and see the sac and "baby". It was only a small black square almost, but it was her! You can get prenatals from any store over the counter, like Wal-Mart.
If your only 7 weeks the doctor won't be able to see or hear anything yet anyways... I had my first ultrasound transvaginally at 9 weeks and that's the earliest the ultrasound tech said they would do it because it freaks moms out not to see anything.
I would just go to your appt tomorrow and wait it out. It will be worth it.
