epidural info! !

If you are getting the epidural during labor mamas
I am here to say DO NOT WAIT
I got mines just as soon as the pain was beginning to be about a 6 and I was then and be to enjoy c my labor. Yes I felt pressure as they got much stronger but I'm sure it was far less of a pain then waiting and the epidural not having enough time to work or something
And the injection is NOT THAT BAD
I am a punk I was crying like a baby when the doctor was setting up for it
Soon as I got the first stick from the numbing needle I started to apologize for being such a wuss and I was completely fine after. Ni headache or back pain. I wish I could have took the epidural home with me. Hope this post helped :)

I loved that epidural. I got it at 6cm and I can remember when I was 9cm I was trying not to doze off through my contractions. Lol. Thanks to that little thing I enjoyed my son's delivery. I was thanking God I choose an epidural when I had to have an episiotomy. Lol. I gave birth to a healthy baby boy who is now a healthy toddler. :)
I don't remember feeling pain after the epidural wore off. I was in a bit of a pregnancy high so long after the baby was born it was hard to feel anything but excited. I do remember in the days following thinking that I thought I would hurt more 'down there' espically after having an episiotomy.

I got my epidural cut off directly after I delivered literally within like 5 minutes of my baby being pushed put. I had a tear so I experienced extra soreness but other than that just the mild period like cramping from my uterus sizing bsck down. Since the epidural is given intravenous it stays in your system for a while even after its been cut off so by the time it had fully "worn off" you should have been given some ibuprofen or other pain meds.
